Business Women's Luncheon Forum featuring Dr. Eva Salamon - Winter Haven Chamber

Don’t miss our next Business Women’s Luncheon Forum! The event will be held on Thursday, March 12, 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. in the Chamber’s Coleman Auditorium. The luncheon will feature Dr. Eva Salamon, board-certified Obstetrician, Gynecologist and cosmetic laser specialist from Bond Clinic, P.A. Dr. Salamon will present, “Women’s Health Care – Present and Future.” Dr. Salamon was born in Czechoslovakia in 1957 to parents who survived the terrors of the Holocaust. When the USSR invaded Czechoslovakia in 1968, her family moved to the United States out of fear of further persecution. Her parents instilled in her the importance of freedom, human rights and education. They encouraged her to follow her dreams and in 1982, Dr. Salamon received her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin. She continued her internship and residency under sunnier skies at the University of Florida. Upon completion of her training, Dr. Salamon served as an assistant professor for the residency program at UF. In 1988, she moved to Winter Haven and has been serving the women of this community ever since. Over the last 20 years, Dr. Salamon has served on the board of the Polk County Medical Association and the Women’s Resource Center and volunteered at Planned Parenthood and WeCare, an organization to help the working uninsured. She believes in the power of education and has participated in numerous community seminars for women. In addition to her commitment to women’s health, she is a dedicated mother of two who has invested her time outside of work in their school activities and interests. She just sent her first child to college at the United States Naval Academy, and although she couldn’t be more proud, she must say “Go Gators!”
