The WHYPG Business Forum will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 14 from 5:30 – 7 p.m. in the Chamber’s Coleman Auditorium. Topic: “Male & Female Body Language in the Workplace” Speaker: Howard Kerner, professor of English and Communications at Polk Community College Every time someone interacts with us, he/she is sending us a message. 93% of the meaning of that message has nothing to do with the words that are used. Tone of voice and body language communicate more “loudly” and powerfully than words. How does body language affect us in the workplace and what are the differences in the ways in which men and women communicate? Being more sensitive to both of these dynamic aspects of communication makes us more effective in the workplace and in our personal relationships among family and friends.
