WhistleStop2008 - Winter Haven Chamber
August 07, 2008 at 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Get your tickets today! Mark your calendar for Thursday, August 7 and join us for the “red, white and bluegrass” of an old-fashioned political rally and barbecue. Nora Mayo Hall will provide a cool, comfortable place for candidates and elected officials to hob nob with the business community. Banjo and blue grass music will entertain guests. From 5 – 6 p.m. guests who purchase a $25 “Conductor’s Pass” can attend a VIP reception with participating candidates. (This pass is also good for the barbecue dinner and political rally.) At 6 p.m. doors open to all the sights and sounds of the barbecue and political rally (tickets for this event are $15). Two candidates will share each booth (no, not with their opponents) and visit with attendees. Vote in the Straw Vote from 5 – 7 p.m. Enjoy barbecue from Smokin’ Jim’s Barbecue, music and frozen custard from KC’s Big Dipper as you learn about those who wish to serve in public office. The general public is invited to attend. Tickets are available in the chamber’s lobby, 401 Ave. B, NW, Winter Haven. No tickets will be sold at the door. For questions or further information, contact the Greater Winter Haven Chamber of Commerce at 293-2138 or chamber1@winterhavenfl.com.
